Refund Policy

Short version: Cancel during your 14-day free trial and you won't be charged anything. After the trial, email us within 14 days of a charge and we'll issue a refund — no questions asked. Renewal charges are non-refundable after that window.
Free trial
All paid plans start with a 14-day free trial. Your card is required at sign-up but you will not be charged until the trial ends. If you cancel before the trial period is over, you will not be billed at all — no refund is necessary.
To cancel during a trial, go to extension settings → Manage subscription or email contact@detab.ai.
Refunds after first payment
If you are charged for the first time (after your trial ends) and are not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of that charge and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.
To request a refund, email contact@detab.ai with the subject line "Refund request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will process the refund within 5–10 business days. The credit will appear on your original payment method.
Renewal charges
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual). We send a renewal reminder by email before each charge. Renewal charges are non-refundable except where required by law.
To avoid a renewal charge, cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before the renewal date via extension settings → Manage subscription or by emailing us.
Annual plans
Annual plan subscribers may request a prorated refund for the unused portion of their subscription within 30 days of the annual charge. After 30 days, annual charges are non-refundable but you retain access until the end of the paid period.
Exceptions
We may issue refunds outside the standard policy at our discretion — for example, in the case of a billing error, a duplicate charge, or a service outage that significantly impacted your ability to use Detab. Contact us and we will do our best to make it right.
Refunds are not available for:
- Charges older than 30 days (except where required by applicable law).
- Accounts suspended for violations of our Terms of Service.
- Failure to cancel before a renewal that you were notified of in advance.
EU / UK consumer rights
If you are based in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days under the Consumer Rights Directive. By starting your subscription and accessing Detab's paid features, you acknowledge that the digital service has begun and agree to waive this cooling-off right where permitted by law. The 14-day refund window above meets or exceeds this statutory requirement.
How refunds are processed
Detab's billing is handled by Paddle, who acts as Merchant of Record. All refunds are processed through Paddle and will appear on your statement as a credit from Paddle. Processing time depends on your bank or card issuer, typically 5–10 business days.
